- If the prawns are large, chop a few; keep most whole. Fold them gently with the mayonnaise, sour cream, most of the dill, the lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- Fry the bread slices in butter until golden and crisp on both sides, then let them cool slightly.
- Pile the prawn mixture generously onto the toast and finish with the remaining dill and a grind of pepper. Serve at once.
